What to Expect

 

Before Your Session:

Once the session is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email from my online booking system. I will contact you to go over all the details, such as what to wear, location preferences,  etc. I always like to create private Pinterest boards my full session clients, so that we are able to find inspiration and make your session as custom as it gets! Exchanges of emails and/or phone calls are always okay with me before the session takes place, as I want to make sure that all questions and concerns are answered before the day of the shoot.

 

Day of Session:

I recommend arriving at the designated session location at least 10-15  minutes before your scheduled time. Especially for mini sessions, since I typically have a set location and will shoot back to back. This will ensure that you get my full attention for the time you scheduled. My style of shooting is always relaxed and never rushed.  I want each of my clients to feel stress free!  Parents: If you are stressed, your children will be as well, and the outcome of the shoot will not come out as expected. Bring your child’s favorite lovie and some snacks to help in between me snapping away, so your child will feel happy and comfortable. Always schedule session times with me around nap times to ensure a happy shoot!

 

After Your Session:

You will be given a password for viewing the images online from your session within 3 weeks. Sneak peeks are given 1 week after the session date for full sessions only. Mini sessions will not receive sneak peeks. This is to ensure you receive your session in time, as I mainly provide mini sessions during the busy seasons. In person ordering is also an option and highly recommended if you are purchasing any prints or products for your wall .  All orders take an additional 2 weeks to arrive at your door. Make sure you book accordingly, especially if you are on a timeline to get your order! Spring and Fall are my busiest seasons, so booking one month in advance is always best to ensure you get your images finished in time.

FAQ’s

 

Where does the session take place?

Good question! 90% of the sessions are outdoors. Based on your preferences, I will come up with several spots that will compliment your needs. I have dozens of favorite spots spread out over McKinney, Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Farmer’s Branch, and even Las Colinas and Grapevine! Studio space  is offered for an additional  fee if you do require indoors, or during the colder months. Those fees will vary and depends on the indoor space.

How far in advance do I need to schedule with you?

Typically, I like to book as much in advance as possible. One to two weeks  is great, even one month in advance!  I fill up fast during the spring and fall, so it is best to contact me ASAP if you have to have your images in a certain time frame.

How do I view my images and place an order from my session?

After your fun-filled day, your images will be ready for viewing in 3 weeks.. I can either meet you in your home (which I highly recommend if you are wanting to purchase canvases for your wall or any prints) OR we can set up a certain time and date via phone/email and give you a password to view the images in an online gallery. The online gallery site can be seen here!

At that time, I can answer any questions on ordering, or help you choose your digital images. With the online gallery, you are able to share the password link to friends and family and they can order online using the shopping cart and pay via securely via PayPal.  Images stay in the gallery for 14 days.

What are “printing rights?”

Printing rights give you exclusive access to order anything. All digitals are given printing rights through Mpix.com to ensure color matching and high quality printing. Your images with be automatically downloaded to the Mpix.com website and you will receive an email with a link.

Policies

Session Deposits: All sessions require a non refundable deposit when booking. Deposits secure your date and time and are due within 48 hours of booking. The deposit amount goes towards your balance, and the remaining balance will be due the day we meet up for your session. Deposit fees: Outdoor Minis $25/Studio Minis $50/Full Sessions $50

Session Re-Shoots:  Because of the nature of my business and the fact that I put so much of my time into taking images, post-processing and editing, I do not offer refunds. I will happily offer a re-shoot at no additional charge if you are unsatisfied with the images provided to you in your gallery.

Reschedules: If you need to reschedule your session due to a sick family member or conflict with your schedule, please contact me at least 24 hours before the session. Sometimes the weather can be a factor in rescheduling as well. If bad weather arises, I will let you know the next available date.
